Reflection:
Our class has gone through every stage of the writing process while writing our Fractured Fairy Tale. Instead of turning in our final work to our teacher for the publishing stage, we instead got to create actual hard-back books and then a VoiceThread. These two projects gave us a role in publishing their work so that more than just our teacher can see their final work. Because of this, I enjoyed creating the VoiceThread. I thought that it was engaging and was an excellent way to conclude the writing process for our Fractured Fairy Tales. I want to use VoiceThread in my future English Language Art classes to teach and encourage Technological Literacy as a 21st Century skill. The combination of a student’s creativity required for this project and the 21st century skills they learn from it are what make VoiceThread such an excellent resource to use in a classroom.
